God did make sex! So what’s the problem.

Although criticized for talking about sex inside the church I applaud the efforts of the Pastor of Cedar Creek for doing what is needed.  Below is a local pastor’s criticism from the Toledo Blade:

Rev. Andrew Edwards, pastor of Northwest Baptist Church in Toledo, said church is not the place to talk about sex. He voiced strong opposition to CedarCreek’s campaign, saying that discussing sex with teens would make them more likely to engage in it because it would “stir up their emotions.”

The pastor criticized CedarCreek for “letting the world dictate what they do instead of the Bible.”
“What they’re using is the sensual, not the spiritual,” Mr. Edwards said. “I oppose what they do. I don’t think what they’re doing is going to help. They’re just using it to market to teenagers.”

I think talking about God’s perspective about sex is a good thing.  I think Mr. Edwards is fearful to face the harsh reality that if we the church do not address sex and sexuality they, the youth will get there information from the TV, peers, and others that don’t have God’s will in mind.  The Bible says we will perish for the lack of knowledge.
So what do you think?  Do you think they’re just using it to market to teenagers?  Should sex be discussed in church or not?

A proverb a day: Proverbs 9:13 -Men beware of foolish women.

“The woman named Folly is loud and brash. She is ignorant and doesn’t even know it.” -Proverbs 9:13 NLT

Proverbs 9 is a must read for men today.  I say this because I was once caught by a woman named Folly.  These type of women make everything wrong seem right, and if it had not been for the grace of God I might still be headed to my grave.  But because of Jesus Christ and His redemptive work on Calvary I am able to go forward to everlasting life because he has washed all my sins away.

Men my warning to you is to be careful when tempation comes.  Think before acting.  Know that your soul is not worth the few moments of pleasure.

Click on the link above and read the entire proverb.

Be wise.
