What God hates…

There are six things the Lord hates-no, seven things he detests:
haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that kill the innocent,
a heart that plots evil,
feet that race to do wrong,
a false witness who pours out lies,
a person who sows discord among brothers.
This comes from Proverbs 6:16-19.  Just wanted to share.
Be wise.

A Proverb a Day: Proverb 15:10 and 32. Have you been refusing instruction?

Do you hate being corrected? Do you hate having to follow someone else’s instruction?  Be careful, because if so, you’re one step closer to the grave.

Proverbs 15:10, says in part b, “…and he that hateth reproof shall die.”

I know.  It sounds harsh doesn’t it? Does God really mean that?  Could it be so?  I tend to think so, for since my boy has been of age to understand me I’ve told him time and time again that those that don’t listen and follow instructions will end up in jail or dead.

I know. You all are saying that’s kind of harsh to say to a 3 or 4 year old, but I believe it with a deep conviction when a young man or woman chooses not to heed or follow instructions, they are headed toward a hard road.

And I like the way verse 32 puts it.  In NLT version it says, “If you reject criticism, you only harm yourself;…”

Be wise.
