Read with me in 2012
Posted by Lance Lawshe in Bible, Inspirational on January 1, 2012
It has been a blessing to know that by sharing tid bits of God’s word and encouraging friends to read with me, that I have been a blessing to others. I have heard many people say they enjoy getting my post, and just when I was contemplating ceasing the “Read with me,” posts I was greeted with yet another person saying that they look forward to my sharing.
For those that already read with me and to the many that will follow in 2012 I will continue. I just believe with all my heart that the more Word of God that we read and apply to our lives the more successful we will truly be as children of God.
January’s read with me will deal with making God a priority in your life. I pray you begin as I do myself to seek Him first in all you do.

Why “Read with me,”?
Posted by Lance Lawshe in Bible, Inspirational on October 15, 2011
I have been for the past year posting a “Read with me,” verse via twitter and facebook. It is my intention to increase readership of the bible, which I believed could and would make a difference. However as I reflect I understand that just to read a few verses or a few chapters will by itself be of no profit to us. The word of God must be applied in our lives if we are to ever be effective as God has purposed. Hence the reason why I have added an hash tag at the end of each “Read with me,” tweet, #dayandnight as a reminder.
I have been doing that to signal to readers to not only read and not look at it again, but to meditate on the word of God, day and night as the bible teaches in Joshua 1:8, it reads: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
So friends as you continue to read with me, remember to think on the word, ask God how to apply it to your lives. Even now think how you can apply Joshua 1:8 to your life. I think everyone I know would love to “have good success.”
