A Proverb a Day: Proverbs 6:9-11 – Waaaaaaake Uuuuuuuup!

So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing? How long before you get out of bed? A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next? Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, poverty your permanent houseguest!

This is a proverb I remind myself when I want to take a break. The Message version says it so plainly, that I really don’t have much more to say. Remember if we do break-time too often we will end up broke and with out the things we need and/or desire.

Be wise, and rest wiser.
