Foolishness….just leave it behind.

Proverbs 9:6 says, “Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.”

Leave the foolish and foolish ones behind.

Leave the foolish ways of thinking behind.

Leave the foolish ways of spending behind.

Leave the foolish ways of loving behind.

Leave the foolish ways of working behind.

Leave the foolish ways of relating to one another behind.

Yet is says, “go in the way of understanding.”

Thinking, spending, loving, working, and relating to others, do it all with understanding.

Foolishness is same as being simpleminded, understanding is just that. I was just meditating on this scripture and as I continue to do so it is revealing to me in order to live, and I mean truly live, we have to do it with understanding.

So many times people always say we only have one life to live, so we might as well as live it up and have fun, and most times that is synonymous to living foolishly, but the “we only live once” phrase is a complete lie. There is an eternity that we must prepare for.
