People want to be made to feel good and the truth of the Gospel message doesn’t do that. The Gospel is not about feeling good because it makes you see yourself. It is about the good news of Jesus Christ; turning from your way of living and doing things God’s way. No one is talking about repentance these days; turning from your sins; being baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit – which, by the way, does make you feel good. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (Gal. 5:22-23a KJV). How will the King find His people when He returns? The Church is to be different from the world. It is not a night club nor a party. The Gospel of Jesus Christ must be peached for it – and it alone – is the power of God unto salvation. John the Baptist came preaching repentance; the Church much do the same and then teach the Church to live holy because God has said “be holy for I AM holy.” And holy does not mean being dower – because when you receive the Holy Spirit, you are filled with the joy of the Lord. They use to call this kind of preaching “hell fire and brim stone.” As I look around, watch and read the news, perhaps we could use some of that now.

Yes we are undert grace, and not by any means can we work for our salvation, but when we truly accept Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, he puts something on the inside of you (the Holy Ghost) that causes you to want to turn from wickedness. So to Oscar’s point we should not stay in sin, but prayer I do believe will remove sin from our lives, God says in His word he will forgive. However my question would be to the person praying, are you truly sincere in wanting your deliverance.

Why, because the Truth is indeed hard to swallow.

Let’s look at the question, where do the names Christ and Jesus come from… are they Hebrew? For Messiah in the flesh was of what nationality, ethnicity and religion?
