“It is poor judgement to co-sign a friend’s note, to become responsible for a neighbor’s debts.” -Proverbs 17:18
This word of wisdom is very true. I’m a witness.
When you’re co-signing or becoming responsible for some one’s debts you are in essence lending to them. You may not be lending to them directly the cash, but you are lending to them your credit worthy name.
I have recently been through an ordeal where I thought I was being nice to let someone use my credit, but in the end I was responsible for the debt. Because that individual did not come through with their end of the deal, I had to suffer the consequence.
After thinking about it I later realized it was my fault. I should have heeded this saying, “[not] to become responsible for a neighbor’s debt.” If I couldn’t afford to give it, I shouldn’t have lended.
Let me encourage you to learn from my mistake.

Mudhen’s game was correct. My son loves that hat too. I think we got it from the GAP.

Wisdom -like yours – often comes out of bad experiences. That’s why men with gray hair and etched faces like mine look wise. We’ve had lots and lots of bad experiences.
The picture of your wife in the grandstands is a great heading for your blog. Were you at the racetrack? Or a Mudhens’ game? And what about the khaki hat? Where can a person get one like it? See. Great picture with various mysteries woven through it.
