National Day of Prayer
Posted by Lance Lawshe in Education on May 3, 2007
Today is the national day of prayer. Is it a day that we are suppose to pray more than usual? Is this a more holy day than the others? For me and my family we will worship the Lord, everyday. Prayer in my opinion should be an everyday thing for our nation.
So I wonder what the little lady that took prayer out of schools is doing today. She can’t take prayer out of the nation, but the schools she can? Well some one better let the record be known. It is not that you can not pray in school. You just can’t as a teacher or leader or student force kids to pray publicly in school.
So young people and older alike that read this, there is nothing wrong with praying together in groups, or bowing your heads in prayer over your lunch. Nothing wrong with praying at your locker before class, or at your desk before a test (just make sure you studied too.) Pray, and pray as often as possible. Prayer is an opportunity to let God into your life and situations and change the course for your good.
