There is a large increase in the number of black men in prison. They make up more than 40% of male prisoners, compared with about 12% of the overall population……..As a result the rapid growth in the number of black men in prison impairs the following generation of black males as well.

What are we going to do to stop this?
Proud Son

I am happy to tell the world of my father’s new position. Who says at 60 you have to lay down and let the world take a pounding on you. My father Calvin Lawshe does the opposite. Although I think he should slow down, he continues to make strides and impact change in the city.
He has recently accepted the position of Interim Director of the Plan Commissions.
My dad has done a lot of work in the community and the University, and his presence in leadership has proved his standing. I encourage him to do even greater things in the future.
Just thought I would share my dad with the world. A proud son.
